Lavender Law Fund

Established in 2019 with the help of alumnus Candelario Saldana, J.D. ’19, then President of OUTLaw, the Lavender Law Fund was created to provide support for registration, travel, and accommodations for Miami Law students interested in attending the National LGBTQ+ Bar Associations Lavender Law Conference and Career Fair.

LAVENDER LAW CONFERENCE AND CAREER FAIR

Since its inception in 1988, the Lavender Law Conference and Career Fair has served as a ‘family reunion’ for LGBTQ+ and ally legal professionals to both look back at the shared history and to look forward to the future of the legal profession. Students benefit from networking opportunities, career advice and are able to interview with firms committed to LGBTQ+ issues.

Who we are: OUTLaw

OUTLaw seeks to advance the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community at the University of Miami School of Law; to educate the law school community concerning gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender politics and culture; and to provide the support necessary to attain these goals. OUTLaw sponsors social, educational, political, and cultural events throughout the academic year.
