Gregory Cardi Memorial Scholarship Fund

The new fund will honor Gregory's legacy and his endless love for music-making and support young conductors in the crucial, early stages of their development.

Gregory graduated from The Colburn Conservatory, Julliard School, New World Symphony, and Frost School of Music. His musical journey also took him to Music Academy of the West, The Aspen Music Festival, Kneisal Hall, Japan's Pacific Music Festival, Canada's National Art's Centre, and the New York String Orchestra Seminar. As a passionate educator and lecturer, Greg travelled to Lebanon, Iraq, and Colombia in an effort to spread the gift of music to areas where it is most needed.

In Memory of Gregory Cardi

In July we lost a dear member of our Frost School of Music family, Greg Cardi. Gregory dedicated his life to music as a conductor, violinist, and educator. We were honored to know Greg, to work alongside him, and we will miss him terribly.

To commemorate the passing of their beloved son, the Cardi family is establishing the “Gregory Cardi Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund” at the University of Miami Frost School of Music.
